This event is Free and Open to the Public. Live music by Jack Poole on Electric Violin. Plenty of Refreshments. Meet the Artists.
This exhibit will hang in the gallery through the month of July. All work is available for sale.
Brief History of the DPP:
The Daily Painters of Pennsylvania formed in 2009 as an online blogging site for fine art painters from the state of Pennsylvania. Members are Juried according to online presence, quality of work and overall dedication to their artistic career. The group now has over 40 members.
Once a year the group exhibits in our State Capitol East Wing Rotunda in Harrisburg for one month. This year the exhibit hung in the Rotunda for the month of June and then traveled to Brath and Hughes Fine Art in Mechanicsburg for the month of July. The exhibit started out with 48 paintings. Two of the paintings sold while at the Rotunda. One painting was whisked away to NYC for a juried art installation on Wall Street. The exhibit now has 45 top quality original paintings available for sale at the gallery. Many of these works have won awards and have strong provenance.
The Daily Painters of Pennsylvania has been invited to have a large group exhibit in Brooklyn New York. During the months of September - October 2012, the group will be exhibiting over 60 pieces of art at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition. The title of the exhibit is "Coming To Brooklyn".
